IBiC PRODUCTIONS

Welcome to the exciting new-ish world of IBiC Productions...

Cambridge-based theatre writer (and often performer) Paul Richards formed IBiC Productions in late 2019, following the success of his play, Harvey Greenfield is Running Late and the fun he had writing podcast sitcom, Three Men and a Bassist. Collaborating with creative chums, IBiC aims to produce highly original, entertaining theatre and beautifully produced radio comedy/drama alongside an extensive educational programme for those looking to write for theatre. We champion the underdog.  Paul's critically acclaimed solo shows have seen him perform for 15 years at the Edinburgh Fringe, his Short Plays for Marvellous People show won an award, his current stand-up-ish-but-don't-call-it-stand-up show, My Function Band Hell was nominated for Best Musical Comedy at the Leicester Comedy Festival and he took his latest theatrical offering, Is This the End of Edward J. Payne? to New York for a short run in June 2023.

Now, he wants to get other people involved, you know, actors and all that, because he has more ideas than time and there's only so many places one lanky man can be...

We currently have several active productions, as well as a growing educational programme.

The plan is to have loads and loads of shows running simultaneously all over the country and various radio productions launching, but give us a chance to sort all that out - we're getting close. In the meantime, Harvey Greenfield has been made into a feature movie (directed by the mighty Jonnie Howard), with Paul returning in the title role alongside the likes of Liz Barker (Blue Peter), Norman Lovet (Red Dwarf), Annette Badland (Eastenders/Dr. Who), Mr. Motivator and many others. Filming started in the summer of 2021 and premiered in Dublin at their Interntional Comedy Film Festival in 2023, where it won 3 awards (including 'best movie' and 'best male actor' for Paul).
